Work Study Information
Steps to Applying
Students interested in applying for a Federal Work Study (FWS) position should first
complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine financial
need.
Once eligibility is established a Work/Study application and a résumé should be submitted
to the Financial Aid Office.
Applicants whose resumés and schedules meet the requirements of the available position
will be chosen by the Financial Aid office and interviewed by the supervisor. Applicants
should be selected based on their skills and availability for the position.
Once the applicant is selected a needs analysis is completed by the Financial Aid
Office to determine the number of hours the student may work each week. Student workers
should never work eight (8) or more hours in a given day.
